yielded abundant ostracodes. All of the ostracodes here described were collected from the Birdsong shale. This formation was named from the exposures along Birdsong Creek and its tributaries in Benton County. Collections were made from the following five localities: Localities 1. At . Trilobites of the Haragan Formation, Coal County, Oklahoma. The Devonian trilobites of Oklahoma are in many way similar to the trilobite assemblage found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, due to proximal on continents separated by thousands of miles today, during Devonian times, present-day Morocco was part of the northwestern continental shelf of Gondwana, and present Missing: Ostracodes.
The ostracod zonation is calibrated with zonal schemes for planktonic foraminifers, calcareous nannoplankton, palynomorphs and ammonites. Although the ostracod zones proposed are largely of intrabasinal application, it is possible to correlate them over wider areas, using bio-events identified in ostracod assemblages and/or associated by: Full text of "A stereo-atlas of ostracod shells" See other formats A Stereo-Atlas of Ostracod Shells edited by J. Named as a formation (1 of 4) of Hunton group; named from Haragan creek. Type area designated in the "White Mound" region along Haragan creek mi southeast of Dougherty, Murray Co, OK on the S. Oklahoma folded belt province. Occurs in the Arbuckle Mountains of south-central g: Ostracodes. The red mudstone member contains some volcanic detritus. The calcareous mudstone member is ostracodal, and the porphyritic andesite member contains at several sites a shelly fauna that provides specific correlation with the Leighton Gray Shale Member of the Pembroke Formation .
